Rachel Zapata

Rachel Zapata is a a Los Angeles based actor and intimacy choreographer, and is thrilled to have recently joined Echo Theater Company. She spent her early years in Virginia, where she received a BA in Theater Performance from James Madison University. While studying at JMU she worked with theatre companies such as the American Shakespeare Center and The Hampstead Theatre in London. After graduation she made the move to New York City where she worked with The New Group Theater, and continued her studies at various conservatories, including William Esper Studio, Stella Adler, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Caymichael Patten Studio. She then moved out to Los Angeles, where she continues her practice at Crash Acting Studio and Helena Walsh Empowerment Studio. Her most recent stage credits include Lauren/Nell in Completeness (Eastwood PAC), Jane in The Girl's Guide to Saving the World (Crash Acting Studio) and Abigail in The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dog, a new play (Crash Acting Studio).
