Lauren Hirte is an actor and aerialist, originally from Chicago, IL, and is absolutely thrilled to be a new company member at the Echo. Lauren’s regional credits include: A Christmas Carol, Actors Theater of Louisville; Laura Eason’s Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates, Arden Theater; and the title character in Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s production of Anne Frank. In Chicago, Lauren is an Artistic Associate with Lookingglass Theatre, where she originated the role of Alice in that company’s Lookingglass Alice (Joseph Jefferson Nomination Best Ensemble) and performed in over eight runs of the show, including tours to the New Victory Theater in New York, The McCarter Theater, Arden Theater, and the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Other Chicago credits include Hard Times, The Little Prince, Icarus, Fedra, and Hephaestus all also with Lookingglass Theatre, and has worked with numerous other companies including, Chicago Dramatist, Piven Theatre, Actors Gymnasium, and Emerald City. Lauren studied theater under Joyce and Byrne Piven at the Piven Theater Workshop and circus and aerial arts at the Actors Gymnasium. Film credits include Trust, directed by David Schwimmer. Lauren teaches physical theatre and can be found Saturdays on the Santa Monica Pier teaching Silks.
