New Play Competition
The Echo Theater was founded in 1997. Dedicated to developing and producing the work of playwrights at any and all levels while extending itself to people and places that theater has lost touch with, The Echo, over the years, has produced 95 premieres.
The following prizes will be awarded:
1st: $1000 honorarium
Playwright traveled and housed for rehearsed public reading at The Echo Theater, Atwater Village, Los Angeles.
2nd: $500 honorarium
Rehearsed Zoom reading
3rd: $250 honorarium

Winners announced: September 1st
Readings: January 2025
Submissions must be:
-Original, unpublished and unproduced, non-musical stage plays. No adaptations or translations please.
There is a fee of $40 per submission.
