Nona Parker Johnson developed a passion for acting and performance at a young age. She was born and raised in Jackson, MS. She attended Georgetown University where she studied theater and performance and received her Bachelors in Justice and Peace Studies with a concentration in Social Justice Art and Performance. Her studies granted her opportunities to study acting, playwriting, spoken word, visual arts, and puppetry in ways that would empower her to incorporate the social issues that were alive and festering in her communities into her art. She has since graduated with her Masters in Fine Arts in Acting from USC and looks forward to a future of continuing to learn and grow as well as service her community through her craft.
